They have to release him today. I imagine they're checking with the league to see if they can withhold his game check and stuff like that. No way he plays again for this team and maybe not in the league

I have some things to say about him quitting... but I feel like id be taking more of my frustration in the team out on him.
I'm more disappointed in the team, in general.

Looks like they might suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team for the next 3 games, so they can recoup those game checks and some of his signing bonus. It'd be nice to cut his sorry ass immediately, but it's a business and SF can get some $ back.

Even if the 49ers cut him I don't think another team in the playoffs will touch him. They will not want to mess up their chemistry by having a bad apple in the locker room.
