I thought Dee Winters was hurt last night?

He was, left with a neck injury.

And now we're out two LB's. Seriously, lets just play the young guys like Jalen Graham and Dashaun White play. I hope they don't bring in a washed up veteran to close out the season.

Sorry I meant though the course of the current season, not necessarily just this game. Like I remember off the top of my head winters getting great depth on his zone and pretty much breaking up a pass for dk Metcalf. It's like why hasn't he gotten more chances this season than Campbell, is it because hes like Jimmy g in practice?

Not sure about his contract details... but wouldn't it hurt his wallet more to be suspended than to outright release him? Is this what we are maybe doing here?

Probably not worth the fight with the NFLPA that will result.

He is guaranteed $2,2M this season. We take a $1.2M cap hit if we cut him. With better than $60M in cap space, I don't think the money matters.

I'm sure he was disappointed to lose his starting gig to Greenlaw. He worked hard to learn a new system and was improving, albeit from a low starting level. Still, his actions last night cannot be tolerated. He knew he knew when he signed there was the possibility of an All-Pro-level player coming back. No excuse for his actions. He will have a hard time finding another gig now.
f**k this piece of garbage.

I imagine tht's one of the thungs the 49ers are looking into. If a player walks out on the team can they dock him more than just one game check. Essentilly he quit so that may void the contract.

One can be suspended for conduct detrimental to the team up to 4 games.
This guy quit on his team last year too

Whats the story with this?
Am I crazy or...looking back at lowlights or the opposing team highlights.

This Campbell guy is the reason we lost some so many games? He looks so awful out there. Worst 49er player ever.

Atleast the other 49ers are just out of form but still trying their hardest.

earlier in the week i searched on his injury history and found this, didn't really think of it until yesterday happened..

A day later, Campbell posted: "Not going out my way anymore and I'm not playing through injuries anymore cause when s--- goes wrong they always use it against you. I'm treating everyone accordingly and giving them the same energy they giving me.

That's pretty soft.
Like Bosa said, we will find out who wants to be here now. Campbell obviously didn't and now his career is gone. Nobody is signing him after this.
I'm hearing the Niners are trying to figure out a way to suspend him for "conduct detrimental to the team ". that way they don't have to pay him the rest of his contract and he can't sign with another team. Not that anyone would want the piece of s**t

This was my initial thought as it was premeditated by his own tweet.

cutting him is too easy. Dude lost it for the team on several blown assignments now that I recalled.
