It's clear they want better from the no. 2 spot. I hope they don't reach in the draft again. If we are lucky, Latu and Willis take a monumental leap this year.

They are definetely drafting a TE if they were willing to give a #2 TE a 3 year deal worth $12 million. It shows they don't have much faith in Latu or Willis right now. And if Kittle goes down for any length of time, They literally have nobody they trust to replace hiim for any length of games. Not in the receiving department or the Blocking department. Woerner wasn't much of a receiver but they trusted him when it came to blocking and special teams.

Still some TE free agents, but no in love with any of them either.

It doesn't matter much. He was getting over paid either way. By us or them. We don't get Brock to Brock anymore. The only downside.

Not signing him benefits us more. Paying too much money for same role as Woerner is a waste.

I agree that's way too much money for a back up tight end especially in our cap situation going forward
