big red zone threat
Why was this guy still available on the clearance rack? Looks like someone Kyle can utilize.
Age, plus he's not a big name. Ertz was on the clearance rack for half a season. Few teams value TE's and if they are over 30... might as well be a running back. That's just the market. There are the pass catchers and then the solid contributors. If you are one of the 5 in the former you are better off than the 30 in the latter. Cause there is a 10 million difference in what you are getting paid.
Ah yeah, he's 33. That makes sense. Maybe he was looking for a final multi-year deal to end his career, and just couldn't get that during the initial weeks of free agency. (no idea what his SF deal is).

Good signing. Especially this time of the offseason. 2nd string TE was a serious weakness on this roster and now I'd say it's a strength. I'm a little disappointed that in such a strong TE draft last year, we ended up with two guys who haven't impressed. The future is not bright at this position and now, unfortunately, we need to spend more draft capital in the next couple of years to make up for the possible misses. Here's to hoping that one of the young guys steps up this next year or two.

Thomas Logan has hands of glue.
he will make Brock a better quarterback, backwards and forwards.
See what I did there.

I've seen two different "reports" saying that Willis is looking good.

Sounds like Latu is gonna be on the PS or traded for peanuts if we can get a taker. I know it's early but.. It's typically not hard to tell how Kyle feels about a player.
Willis already earned a spot last year, Mason Pline supposedly impressed in OTAs and has a lot of potential here IMO, and adding vets like Thomas and Saubert mean that Latu needs a huge camp to earn one of the last three spots.

I pretty much agree on everything you said. Thomas is a total lock and Willis isn't far off so that'll leave Latu fighting for a spot and with how Kyle talks about him I'd be willing to bet that he's close to getting the axe.

Come on you don't remember when he first got into the league?
I remember the media trying to spook us because of his potential.
He is one of the very few QBs I'm seen who changed positions, and have found a way go stay in the league so long.
I think Eric Crouch(?), Rams player who convered to Safety I believe was another one.. but didn't last as long.

every time I watched Logan Thomas, i had weird de-javu from him being a QB, and it always messes with me, lol. Happy he chose to sign here, he had a nice interview at tight end U, just a solid signing in a really good off season in my opinion.
