How many people on the planet have a super Bowl Ring?

Shop 49ers game tickets
I was sitting around thinking about how many players have played this great game of football. With so man players I wondered how many players have earned at least one super bowl ring?

I remember hearing that including everyone that has received a ring in each organization (executives, admin, etc.), about 1700 humans have a Super Bowl ring.

What are your thoughts about how many people have a super bowl ring?
do we count T Swift or not?

Your number is way off dude. Like, waaaaaaay off. There have been 58 Superbowls. For there to only be 1700 people who have rings, that means on average every Superbowl team only gives out 29 rings.

Each team is allowed to order 150 rings. Even if they choose to order 100 of the 150 (which is a ridiculously low example), you are looking at 5,800 rings out there.

KC gave out over 400 this year alone.

Right. What I said was not even counting how many a team wants to purchase. My friends have lower level front office jobs with the SF Giants (advertising, Jr. Giants, etc.). They all three World Series rings. I cant imagine this isnt the same thing for the NFL.

Not my number, I just heard that and thought I would ask the expert (you) LOL.

So what is your estimated number when it comes to super bowl rings? Have they (rings) always been a thing since day 1 of the merger?

I am by no means an expert. Was just using basic math to say the 1700 number was incredibly low.

Its hard to estimate how many exactly are out there. Like Strwy2Hevn said, the Chiefs gave out 400 alone this year. While the NFL allows for up to 150 for the team, the team can choose to buy more.

I am fascinated by the idea that there are so few (players not people) out there with a super bowl ring. Then you look at guys like Montana, Haley, and Brady who have 4 or more.

58 Super Bowl's have been played and only 20 NFL Organizations have won a super bowl with 15 of them winning multiple SB championships. To me those rings represent so much, since they are so hard to come by.

Most teams give rings to all the coaches, trainers and sometimes the front office staff.
