Can't root for either of those teams for different reasons. Eagles because they have the worst fans and the biggest douche of a coach. And some unlikeable players. The Lions because they haven't paid their dues. The fans have but not that team. You don't get to win the SB in your 2nd good year. Yes I am bitter because we have been good for years and haven't gotten that SB.
Agree wholeheartedly about Philly. Plus they got their ring recently.
Detroit is a great story. That franchise has been through a lot, and it would be nice to see that both Stafford and Detroit found a way to get theirs in the current era.
With that said I agree that early success promotes arrogance, and Detroit has gotten so much early success they seem to have an aura of "we own this league" which makes them look like the bad guy.
So I'm rooting for Buffalo. A team that's been through SB heartbreak in the 90s, and a bunch of what ifs in the playoffs in recent memory. They seem like a blue collar work horse team that earns their victory every week. The best SB matchup would be Detroit v Buffalo, with Josh Allen finally hoisting that trophy…
