I wish people would stop bringing up the Chiefs, even though I understand the point.
Chiefs are one of a kind team. HoF QB, HoF head coach, a great DC. They have shown they could win in all kinds of adversity.

I really dont see how a Kyle Shanahan team can combat through adversity. They dont have the extra gear especially with guys like Trent, Bosa etc out. Their whole philosophy is just following the system.

I can't see it happening this year, but the Niners have fought through adversity. Being 3-5 in 2021 and making it to the NFC CG. Cycling through 3 starting QBs in 2022. Coming back in back-to-back playoff games last season.

Everyone wants to make things so black and white when things are usually degrees of gray.

They were able of coming back in 2021 and 2022 because the team really felt that winning the ring was a real possibility those years.

This year the team is mentally and physically drained since losing the SB in OT and we all can see it week in and week out even when they win.

The run is over and the players and Shanahan know it.

FWIW from a couple weeks ago :

Saints are brutal
Justin Tucker is done. He's got that David Akers thousand yard stare.

Pretty amazing how a career can be over in the blink of an eye.
That getting the ball hit from behind and fumble was such a vintage Derek Carr play, dude has no feel in the pocket. It's so nice we get absolutely no damn help from the Jets or Saints who both had completely winnable games.
Crazy how unscary Baltimore is even with the addition of Henry. Eagles on the other hand killed it with Barkley. He alone puts Philly right there
