Some guys here said that Vic Fangio was done

Barkley has helped them mask how about of an actual QB Hurts is. He's good at RPO but that's about it. One read only. Unfortunately it's hard to stop when you have a good running game and O line.

Still I don't think they're good enough to win the NFC. It'll be Detroit or GB. Maybe Minnesota.

Knew it was a problem when Eagles got 2 new coordinators and one was him.

Who said that? Lol. Ridiculous. I would have loved to have Vic Fangio back here as DC.

Philadelphia won Fangio's services by default by virtue of existing closer in proximity to his family.

Eagles are on Detroits heals. Either one ends up with home field could be difference. I just want Packers on the road because screw them. Can't see Darnold winning NFC title game.
Baker is so damn clutch.

Well I have been saying that people are sleeping on the Eagles and declaring the Lions as the best team in the NFC and a lock to get to the Superbowl. I don't think that's a given. The Lions are very banged up on defense and the Eagles offense is tough to slow down. They can grind you out, attack over the top, and hit big plays in the air and ground. The Eagles have two tough games left, Pittsburgh comes to Philly in a nasty inner state matchup of two powerful teams, and the Eagles play at the Commanders.

The Lions have Packers, 49ers, Bills, Vikings, and Bears. Detroit is not sweeping all those teams imo. The Eagles have a great chance to overtake the Lions for the #1 seed.

If it can't be us, I hope Detroit can make it out of the NFC. Downtrodden organization for the vast majority of their history as they have been, recent seasons notwithstanding. Anyone but the Packers.

Switching to a 3-4 from a 4-3 may have been the reason last season we did not bring him in. However after the way the D has played this year would it really have mattered if we switched. I would love to have his scheme vs Sorensen's.

If not us...I hope DET wins the SB. I'm just sour that we went to the SB twice and lost. We could have had it last year.

That (scheme fit) probably played into it, too.

I feel like Fangio is a Spagnolo type of guy (failed HC but brilliant DC) that is perfect for an offensive oriented HC and FQB and, if provided the right personnel, can just own the defensive side.

Hopefully, we can find that guy because obviously Sorenson is not it.

Totally understand. I don't think you ever get used to it, as I have yet to recover from any of our three losses.

It pisses me off that we have played the role of the Bengals for the Chiefs' recent Super Bowl dynasty story.

But if the Lions can show our regime how it's done, I won't hold it against them. It would be good for the league.

The K.C losses never bothered me as much as the Ravens. A remotely close game against Mahommes, I never have faith in. But the Ravens, my God. The 49ers were the better team. For whatever reason Flacco stumbles into the SB and has a career game. Granted Aldon and Justin's injuries really hurt our defense. A HOF WR that made a career of jump balls and Kap decides to play catch with Crabtree to close the game. Ugh. But that loss haunts me because I felt it that night like an omen of the future. That win would have kept me satisfied for decades and it just seemed like destiny got screwed up.
I've been saying it for 5 years: Kyle coaches to not lose instead of playing to win. That's Kyle's legacy here. Kicking field goals in this weather while playing one of the best offenses in the league when we ALL KNOW they will be scoring in bunches and we need to keep up. No balls, no urgency, kick field goals instead of pushing the envelope. That's why he is in his 4th LOSING SEASON in 8 years. Completely mediocre.
