It's inevitable. That's how sports work. Lions were a dynasty in the 1950s, winning 3 championships. So, in 1981 when SF won the SB for the first time - 24 seasons after the Lions won in 1957 - you probably had Lions fans saying "Imagine the 49ers winning an NFL Championship that is more current than ours".

Very few franchises win multiple championships in multiple eras. Look at the Chiefs - nothing for 50 years before their current run. Patriots won nothing for their first 40 years. Niners won nothing for their first 35 years, won 5 in 15, then nothing for 30. That's the norm.
