Just because it worked doesn't make it the right call. The right call was kicking the FG. Unless you have a QB that can sneak it which the Lions don't have.

How often do we get beat on the last drive?

I think we had a 12 game win streak a couple of years ago. The year we lost to the Eagles in the NFC championship.

It didn't work against us in the Playoffs last year

Yeah, but we're a different tier in franchise history
Winners are willing to take their chances on offense. The knock on defensive head coaches is that they usually don't. When you get a Belichick or a Campbell, they do pretty darn well. When you get Shanahan in the playoffs and everyone is gambling like there is no tomorrow, because there isn't, it's hard to go all the way through the playoffs without someone you might say getting lucky on you, because you're timid and not competing.
So refs called back a TD for a pick play by Watson but missed St Browns obvious push off on Nixon.

What? I thought we lost the Super Bowl on the last drive. With the playoff OT rules, our drive can't be the last drive as even a touchdown does not stop the other team from getting a posession, and oh yeah, if you score Anything, they get 4 downs on every series, which makes them really hard to stop.

Well I was speaking on when we faced Detroit since we're talking about Detroit going for it too much

Believing in your guys and these kind of calls puts them in a more aggressive mind set. My money is on them to win a SB before Kyle does.

Maybe two
Didn't Goff take a knee during that 4th down handoff??

you would think it would have called the play dead as soon as he took the knee

Believing or just not trusting the defense.. cause if they kicked or didn't convert on those 4th downs... no way they can win straight up

Too bad they don't get to play these weaker teams in the playoffs

That's not the rules. Taking a knee is intentional. You can always give yourself up. He got his foot stepped on by his own OL. That's not intentional and it's not being tackled by the other team.

Weaker team? That really doesn't make any sense. You're saying their only chance to win is to go for it.

He had hisfoot stepped on. It wasn't intentional. Unlike college the player isn't down without contact with a defensive player.

Now that college players are getting paid and are really just NFL minor leguers they should change the rules and make them the same. PI should be a spot foul instead of a 15 yard penalty. Both feet should be in bounds on a pass reception. No reason to have different rules anymore.
