As an aside, although I loathe a lot of the silly celebrations, how is that a penalty but not when the whole defense goes down the field and then bowls for dollars, or skeet shoots, or something similar?

Damn - great onside return from Buffalo player - that backfired big time for Detroit. Philadelphia right there for the #1-seed, and the Lions are back in a dog fight for the division.
