Of course, things change.....then came the '80s......and then the ridiculous Walker trade......time always marches on.
Difference is, they actually had a good team in the 1970's under Grant and Tarkenton.....it's just that the Cowboys in the NFC and Mia/Oak/Pitt in the AFC were better.
This Vikings franchise of the last 10 years have had records that are nearly equal to those Vikes teams from 50 years ago, the but the talent is nowhere close. I mean....comparing Fran Tarkenton to Keenum/Darnold?
Oh I hear you - no comparison. Now some of that is just the overall dilution of the league too. I do think this version of the Vikings is better than a couple seasons ago - just play better as a team IMO. However, I don't expect them to get past the divisional round IF they get there.
