this is the first SB ever that I'm more excited for the halftime show than the game

I might not even watch the game, I'm so sick Swift
similar feel to last year. we had cmc, eagles have barkley. all about can they run downhill on kc. kc made all of our yards difficult last season.

That was the 1st quarter. Plenty of time to bounce back. Eagles have a top level o line is the difference

i'll do a breakdown

Coaching KC
QB KC
RB Philly
WR/TE KC
OL Philly
DL push
LB KC
DB Philly
ST KC

Hurts to Goedert in the playoffs has been deadly

Hope Chiefs win so it's not like they just have the Niners #

This is kinda my thinking, at least as NFC teams go.

KC winning adds to their dynasty legacy, but that legacy is solid no matter what at this point. Why let the Eagles be any more than another stepping stone? I'd rather not have the Eagles be the giant killer in the narrative.

Additionally, threepeat makes it slightly less likely Chiefs win the next year. I know the # of games they will play doesn't change now, but the Chiefs going for their 4th straight just doesn't seem as likely to succeed as the Chiefs going for redemption for losing the SB.

5 SB appearances in 6 years is insane. AFC has failed us all more than the 49ers/Eagles have if KC wins. SF went to 6 of 7 NFC CGs in 1988-1994, but only won 3 of them. Winning 5 in 7 straight appearances for KC (2018-2024) just shows how outmatched the AFC has been in this period. And those two losses were both OT. Think about that - in 7 straight years the Chiefs have led or tied at end of regulation in the AFC CG. The probability of that is extreme.

This exactly.

i thought about that and most ppl would say so. however, some factors if i may. firstly, Kelce can turn it on for a few quarters or for the red zone to tilt the game to KC. second, Philly for a while has struggled with WR3. they seem to have settled on zaccheezus or whatever his name is. no doubt goedert, brown and d smith are very strong. now with KC, i think worthy is a major problem. he's a threat to score from anywhere. nfl shouldn't have let him fall to KC. and hollywood brown is back and he's a problem himself. that's a lot of speed with worthy and brown, then kelce to work the middle, and then you have juju and hopkins.

I'll take Mahomes and his weapons in addition to Reid's scheme vs the Eagles unit, at least in the pass game. To me, there's no argument that minus the QB and coaching, the Eagles offensive talent is easily better on paper.
