i'm still waiting for links that prove your assertion MadDog. I've done a "10 second internet search" and find no evidence of anyone in the NFL believing Heitman to be one of the best interior lineman in the NFL.
For the record, I like Heitmann, even though he was crap last year, like most of the line. I just don't see how all of a sudden he's an all-pro. if you have evidence of how highly he is thought of league wide, i would love to see it.

...but that's the only time I've ever heard of it, too... and since when does one commentator saying anything make it true? hehe...
...and MD needs to remember game 2 (or was it game 1?, sorry my memory is off) when Heitmann had some problems "tripping" up JTO and Frank. Not to say that he's horrible or anything, just that MD is going too far with this whole "he's one of the best in the NFC because 'everyone' is saying it"...

Now hold on a just a second. Aren't you the same guy who treated the rest of the board like morons for getting excited about JT O'Sullivan? You predicted that JT would be on the bench after a "handful of games."

He wasn't good last year, part recovery of his injury, and part scheme.
The criticism of Heitmann is warranted.
You can act high and mighty bout defending Heitmann but tell me this:
if he is, in fact, good, then why haven't the 49ers signed him to an extension while drafting a player in the 4th round to potentially replace him?
You obviously do not read. Please do a ten second internet search. I'm begging you. Read what the people around the NFL have to say. He was injured early last season, but he played a lot better at the end of the season. He is considered one of the best interior linemen in the NFC. Once again, please feel free to search what the pros have to say.
I will add that the team thinks so lowly of Heitmann that they made him....one of the four captains on the team. Yeah, he stinks.
Heitmann broke his leg in 2006, and also is scheduled for free agency. Free means free, which means he is not obligated to return.
Finally, name all of the high priced interior linemen that Nolan has kept on the team. I count.....none. The Niners don't spend their money that way.

One more bad game for VD and he's screwed here.

I guess you missed the injury report. The guy barely practiced at all the week before the game (in fact, he sat out most of the week), and in the end, did not allow a sack.
The truth really hurts.

Links provided. It took more than ten seconds, but it will still very easy.

I liked when he flat backed that LB...that was awesome.
Was that when Gore bobbled the ball and still scored? I remember the center had to hike the ball and pull like the guard. That was cool.
Not many centers can pull anywhere close to Heitmann. He is also exceptional on screens. Of course, those that don't know the game seem to miss these things.

regardless MD, sometimes you need a dose of your own advice: I call to the stand Ashley Lelie. EOS.
I do remember the huge impact Lelie was going to have on our squad this year. And, people called me a party pooper.

And your prediction of JTO's imminent demise?
