Now that the Super Bowl is history and pro football is done for the year (.....the Pro Bowl does not count), we all have to suffer through three weeks of withdrawal. What are you going to do?
With our new Team President, head coach, and leftover GM taking over the reins, I think that the Niners will make some significant moves in both free agency and the draft. The Niners hiring of Jimmy Raye was a big letdown, so let's hope the organization makes a more significant impact with the personnel.

I'm already slipping into depression checking the webzone hourly for new news with no luck.

We already made a significant impact by hiring Singletary AND Jimmy Raye. I like McCloughan- He has had some of the best drafts during his time here. And remember, he was the only one on our staff who wanted Patrick Willis. I am thrilled to see a young staff moving in the right direction. I can see Coach SINGLETARY holding up the lombardi trophy, just as Mike Tomlin did a few days ago. Go Niners!

Let's all just take solace in the fact that things will probably get better with Sing, maybe slowly, but they are already getting better.
Start with this: Mike Nolan is GONE!!!! Wahoooo!!!!!!!!

I hear ya, but don't expect too many big moves via FA. In Jed's recent media tour he has said that he doesn't expect us to make too many bold moves in FA. Maybe he's bluffing but with the lack of $ they've spent on coaches and GM recently, I tend to believe him. Only time will tell.
Hopefully our drafts start to improve. They've been below average for a long, long, time.
