I could only wish that was the case. But its different situations. Minny knew Barker was just about ready to bust out when they couldn't afford to keep him. He was in his mid 20s when we got him. Barker was a great pass rusher for us (2 years with 12+ sacks in the 3 he played).Evans is Evans, he's 30, he'll stop the run and do his job. Its not a bad signing at all, considering the price and the skill set.

Seems like most of them are bummed for the loss of Evans. Will be interesting to see how he adapts to the 3-4.

Best post from that thread by a guy named "Yeen80":
"Don't San Francisco and Washington always swap each others sloppy seconds? Off the bat here are a few that come to mind...."
Walt Harris
Zak Keasey
Taylor Jacobs
Demetric Evans
Derek Smith
Dana Stubblefield
Otis Leverette
Tyronne Drakeford
Ray Brown
Charles Mann
Ricky Ervins
And then we have
Brandon Lloyd
Andre Carter
Mike Rumph
Piersen Prioleau
Jeff Posey
Kevin Mitchell
Deion Sanders
Mark McMillian

He was "good" on our s**ttiest teams in franchise history.
So pretty much, he was a polished turd.

I couldn't find a negative remark, and that thread was deep. Looks to be a solid acquisition.

That would be sweet!!!
Of course Roy did very well, cause we had Young, Stubblefield and Doleman on our D-line ya know...
But Barker was a baller, no doubting that...
