I love the guy, but he needs to let some of the other RB's on the team get some reps without crying about it.

Gore is awesome but production speaks for itself and he has never been much of a TD guy and has been average at best the last 2 years. Willis is the face of this franchise

I just don’t get it. I really respect Frank for all he has done and how he plays, but this is getting ridiculous. You guys act like he's carried us to multiple championships, when in fact we've never even had a winning record under his watch. Yet we can't consider giving some snaps to WB and AD because we might hurt Franks feelings? Give me a break. NOBODY IS ABOVE THE TEAM. Not even Willis. WB and AD could really help us this season. It's time to stop worrying about feelings and put up some Ws. If Gore doesn't like it, he can walk. After all, this is the team that cut Joe after 4 Superbowls.

I actually agree with you on this.

i agree with the general sentiment in this thread. Great player, I love his heart, one of my favorite Niners, etc, but the coaches need to get a realistic perspective on his abilities and the overall ability of our offense. He's not Emmit Smith and we don't have the 90's Cowboys line. We don't even have the pieces to run the archaic offense they're trying to run, so we need to stop. Stop trying to have a "bell cow" and just try to have an effective offense that uses all of personnel to its advantage.
