I still don't know why we never did and the Colts don't use him more on goalline. His running style is ideal for goalline.

I mean....they dont get the same treatment because not only is Frank an all time great Niner, he is an all time great football player in general. Alex is no where close to Frank on either level.

It's more than that IMO. Number one pick and positioned played has a lot to do with it. They were/are both class acts. But being a number one qb, sucking as bad as Alex did for a while and having a couple of coaches throw you under the bus changes thangz.

Interesting to hear Alex get real about that in his recent interview.

Still dont think it is or ever was more than that. Alex was trash for us. Period. Frank was never in the same category as Alex was, quarterback, running back, whatever.

Class, while important as a human being, is often irrelevant in the sports world. You are either good or not. And Frank was amazingly good for us...while Alex was the opposite.

That is why there is such a difference in opinion by fans between the two. Draft position, position position, whatever arent really relevant IMO.
