NO

Yes.
No but he's in the top 10

Yes.
Frank is the definition of football player.
Put Frank on the roster during the golden years and we win a couple more.
Only Lott can be argued against Frank IMO. But Frank is the best 49er in the history of the franchise for many reasons.
I remember him talking in an interview about crying in the parking lot after a game because he could not believe the attitude of players after the loss. He could not beleive players could have a smile on their face and be cracking jokes.
When Frank says he bleeds Red and Gold, He really means it. Its not just a saying to him.

Montana, Rice, Lott, Young are all always going to be ranked higher while others like Sapolu, TO debated.

TO?

LOL. K.

The rest were household names during the glory years. IMO Young doesn't deserve to really be in the conversation either.

No one even knew who Frank Gore was until our playoff runs. Yet he continued to thrive year, after year, after year. Under any HC, in any offense, with any QB, on any roster, and he did it facing the most stacked boxes i have ever seen a RB face.

Frank is the best 49er ever. Period.
IMO it goes Rice, Montana, Gore.

Lott gave up a finger to help us win a SB.

True that, and he's one of my all time Favs, but he wasn't generational at his position the way Rice, Montana and Gore were, at least imo.

Montana did things no QB had, Rice did things no WR had, and Gore did things no RB had on a team like he was stuck on most of his 49ers career. There were other safeties that were studly like Lott during his time.

no they weren't, Lott name is the first to come up when asked about Safeties in that Era

82 yards 5.1 YPC. 193 yards away from catching Bettis for #6 all time rushing.

Tomlinson for #5 is only 22 yards farther than that. So 216 yards to be alone at #5 with 8 games left? Frank got this.
