Someone posted this in NT but it got locked, figured I'd put it here. It's a case against Gore for the HOF. A very weak case, in my opinion.

His point is that Gore was never one of the "top 5 backs" during any of the years that he played. While he may not have ever led the league in rushing, TD's, etc., there is something to be said for longevity. Art Monk comes to mind. He had to wait a long time to get in because he was derided as merely a "compiler." But why should longevity and durability be seen as negatives? That makes absolutely no sense to me.
Gore without a doubt belongs in the Hall of Fame. But I'm sure we'll probably see more idiots like this writer come out against him.
