He should and will pass LT to be 4th all-time. Even if Peterson passes him he'll be in the top 5 for a VERY long time. He's a lock.

Is he not the BEST pass blocker on this list?

Passing LT will put him 5th not 4th.

I like Frank and certainly appreciate everything he gave to the team but I don't know if his yards alone make him HOF worthy, though I guess one can certainly make that argument. I mean how many times did he lead the league in rushing, or how many Pro Bowls did he go to, or how many Championships did he help his team win? It seems to me that the HOF ought to be reserved for players who somehow changed the game or redefined their position or who played that position at an extremely high level for the length of their careers, which is why I get that Gale Sayers made it, and Barry Sanders. Terrill Davis was a much tougher call in my book but since I don't have a vote in these things it doesn't really matter. Someone else I'd never vote to get in is Owens. For all of the numbers he put up the guy was a complete tool and a distraction on every team he played for not sure his character makes him HOF worthy. But then again Ty Cobb is considered one of the greatest baseball players of his era and apparently NOBODY liked that guy.

I meant martin. If he plays next year he'll definitely pass him for 4th

Another thing that will work in gore's favor is the devaluing of the rb position. He'll be a top 5 rusher with nobody besides Peterson who can get even remotely close to his rush totals. Gore, Peterson and maybe lynch will get HOF consideration, but who else? Forte? Shady McCoy? Not likely. So unless they just stop putting rbs in he's going to make it.

And also has the most negative yardage runs in league history. Imagine if all those just went for no gain

Omg I just saw he had 336 carries for -952 yards. Thats like a heavy seasons worth of beating and pummeling fighting for no positive yards

I know he had a great line for most of his career, but what Emmitt did was still remarkable. I don't see any RB (unless they stop PED testing) coming close to breaking his record.
