Bugs me to this day that we let him go when we did. Dude should have been a Niner forever.

Letting him go all for Hyde who's not even on the team anymore.

Hyde has 511 rushing yards this season and Gore has 722 smh

Yup, and I didn't realise he signed for the Vet minimum! Dude just wants to ball! Sign him up (sorry Jeff Wilson)

love Gore but he doesn't for the system at all

Nah, Gore can run any scheme, all about pressing his crease and then exploding, that's what he does.

Granted he isn't a burner, but that's a luxury, he can do the Alfred Morris version of the offense.

Obviously hasn't got the required route skills, but McKinnon does, and who would you rather in the Redzone?

Wrong. Gore fits any system that calls for protecting the passer. Always have a job.

When you lead the history of the nfl in total yards, does being a douche really matter? No it does not. Jerry is proving until the day he dies that a brick layer from Mississippi is just as good as anyone else. thank you jerry rice for all you have done.

PS montana and walsh were douches as well. Maybe you have to be, to be exceptional.

I have no problem with it, although I wouldn't call either of the 3 douches. Definitely competitors who wanted to win at all costs.

Absolutely incompetent decision. No sugar coating it. Whoever signed off on that decision has no organic understanding of the sport of football.

This may be controversial but I don't think Bill Walsh would have cut Frank.

1) We had no substitute. No one could flash like Frank in the open field.
2) Dude stones 250 lb linebackers. Give that man a job.
3) Frank was different than Jerry, Joe, Roger, Ronnie. We could have found the right $$ for a role on the team that would have made everyone happy. The other players were just too expensive to retain in reduced roles, so they found better $$ elsewhere, or they just simply couldn't play anymore. That didn't have to happen here.

That seems terribly wrong some how. Probably had incentives.
Bring back the tank!
