I had no idea that some people actually think that Willis was a quitter.
"You've seen me break my hand on Sunday, have surgery on Monday and play on Thursday with a cast on," Willis said. "But there's something about these feet. And those are what made me who I am. They had you all saying, 'Wow, where'd he come from?'
"I know I no longer have it in these feet to go out there and give you guys that kind of 'Wow.'"
"As much as I'd love to win a Super Bowl and to bring number six back here, I have to be honest," Willis said. "I have to tell y'all that if I don't have what I know I need to give to my teammates and the organization the best chance to win, then I can't be out there doing that.
"And to be sitting on the sideline just collecting a paycheck, I feel like that would be wrong. So I stand up here today with that conviction. I understand the magnitude of what I'm doing today."

Gore has said many times he wants to be a RB scout. I hope we hire him.

Stubbed toe ≠ Turf toe.
I guess Jack Lambert and Jonathan Ogden are quitters too.

Greatest inside runner ever.

This is why you work on taking the handoff with your eyes up.

Gore is able to make his move just as the ball gets put in his belly. #Alwaysprocessing pic.twitter.com/pSJyz0nn8h
The defense runs a gap exchange with Clowney slanting inside. Gore slightly presses the LOS but then bursts wide away from Clowney to 'bounce' it. pic.twitter.com/1ULwQDSZtp

Definitely something to follow. Not a knock to other greats, but I think Frank Gore would be very dedicated to the job. While I think other guys are interested in helping out the 49ers (or another team), I don't think they have an interest in putting in the hours year round because scouting, coaching, etc IS a full time job.

Val is just mad because in his heart he knows the Braves 1995 championship wasnt legit because it came in a partial season.

I mean... I would have no problem with Gore picking out our RBs in the future.

He would be more suited to be a scout. Frank is a very quiet, low key guy. I don't think he has the personality to be a coach. I can't see him yelling at or getting on a player at all.
