So proud of Frank. Wish he was still doing this with the 9ers.

dude is about to cross the 15,000 yard mark. He's going to Canton for sure.

What makes you think he's gonna retire after passing Barry? He already said back in training camp that he'll keep playing as long as he feels good. People been trying to retire him for years but he's nowhere near done.

My kid will graduate college and Frank Gore will still be worth being drafted in fantasy.

... And I don't have kids.

It was the right decision at the time. Hyde was up and coming, and Frank was reaching the traditional age limit for a RB. Chip Kelly and Shanahan dont use power run schemes, so Gore hasn't made sense for our offense in years.

Hes still over 1,800 yds away from Walter Payton, and he's probably a 600-700 yd per season guy now. Hed need to rush for another 700+ this year, 700+ next year, and then 400 or so in 2021 at age 38. I guess it's possible, but will he keep finding teams who are willing to give him starter carry loads at his age?

If anyone can do it its Frank, but each year will get harder and harder to maintain the right pace.

Would be nice if he could stick with Buffalo instead of bouncing around on 1-yr deals. They set up nicely because they are an up and coming old school team built around their defense. I can't see Singletary handling more than a dozen touches per game at his size, which leaves another dozen touches or so available in that backfield for the foreseeable future. For that level of workload, you aren't going to find a better back than Frank for his reliability, leadership and cheap price tag too.

I've been saying this for a couple years that I think Frank is going to play until he's 40 and end up breaking Emmitt's rushing record. Needs about another 800 carries to do it. Might even break Jerry's yardage record too. He's not playing to chase records, but with every year that passes it's one year closer to being able to play at the same time as Frank Jr in the league and I think he'll definitely stick around for that.

Gore is nearly 5000 yards behind Rice's all-purpose yards record. No chance in hell of him breaking that record.

I hope he does break Rice's record but itll be extremely hard. Rice going to the raiders is hard to forget.
Gore, Willis and Rice are my favorite 49ers ever..!

Thanks for reminding us what a smart smart move that was to get rid of Frank. Because he didn't fit into Chip Kelly's scheme. Brilliant front office thinking right there. Thanks for mentioning it. Plus we saved a couple million bucks a year. Cherry on the sundae.
My all time favorite 49er. I wish he would somehow end up on the Patriots so he can win a superbowl
