Media loves Frank, always have. Not only has he always been gracious with them, but they are plugged into what football people think, and Gore is respected within the league far beyond his stats in a way that casual fans do not understand.
Gore is just straight-up one of my favorite players of all time. Up there with good ol' Steve. The talent, the heart, the character, the competitiveness and love of the game. How can you not love the guy?

I remember when fans use to call Frank stupid because he was awful in interviews. One of the only times I wanted to punch my screen because of the webzone. And it happened a lot!

Best overall summary I've seen on why Gore should be a HOFer.

Incredibly, Gore has become even more durable with age. He missed 12 games from 2005 through 2010. Since 2011, he has missed only two games.

Through it all, he has 3,443 rushing attempts, 15,021 rushing yards, a highly-respectable average of 4.4 yards per carry, and another 459 touches in the passing game. That's more than 3,900 times in the regular season that Gore has had the ball in his hands and, necessarily, a bull's-eye all over his body.

He's got nine 1,000-yard seasons. He has a career-high season of 1,695 yards. And he has a plausible shot at catching Walter Payton for No. 2 on the all-time list.

Gore also played in a Super Bowl, rushing for 110 yards in a game the 49ers nearly won. Barry Sanders didn't play in a Super Bowl. LaDainian Tomlinson didn't play in a Super Bowl. Adrian Peterson hasn't played in a Super Bowl. Eric Dickerson didn't play in a Super Bowl.

Gore has more career rushing yards from all of them.

Im a little leery of the longevity and big stats arguments about frank getting into the hall. Thats not the real reason he should get in. Fact is he is a special talent. He is hyper elite in many areas. That is the basis of his success. Durability is only one of them. Its hilarious how many donkeys in the pft thread portray frank as a mediocre golem plodding through an undead football career. Imbeciles. Either they have never seen frank play or they cant appreciate his santa claus bag of jukes cuts shimmies dips scampers and stutters. Dips@ts.

Well duh, I mean after his 15 yard dropback only to find his first read covered
Gore's pass blocking skill is underrated AF.

You could make a hilight film just on that alone.
I've only bought two Jerseys in my life - Frank Gore and Patrick Willis. Both jerseys haven't fit me in years, but I refuse to throw them out. Would actually go to Canton the year Frank is inducted.

Doesn't it make sense that he's an elite open field blocker? The same skills that allow him to read gaps before they exist and avoid contact are the ones he uses to do the opposite -- triangulate on some poor slob and deliver power when they are not balanced to receive it. Frank's a treasure chest of football skills man. A frickin human highlight reel of what a power athlete should do in an open field.

Does anyone remember that time Frank blocked a LB from (I think) the Raiders and just scrambled dude's brain for him? Like, Gore sticks the block, LB tries to disengage, then realizes that his brain doesn't work anymore and just goes down... I've tried and tried to find a clip of that block with no luck. It might have been in preseason or soemthing so that clip may not exist anywhere

Some of my favorite Gore plays...just missing the run against the Chargers (and many more).

In a game or in practice? Cause there's a video of him destroying people in practices I think the best block I've seen Gore have was in Baltimore? He leveled a corner several times but that one was brutal. He also injured a Arizona corner one time from what I saw. The guy was just a beast in pass blocking.

Dunno if this is what you were thinking of, but this was Frank's pick when someone asked him what was his favorite pro highlight. Pretty much tells you all you need to know about Frank.

First 4 minutes are from Frank's freshman year before the knee injuries when he still had breakaway speed and even more burst through the line. Can you imagine if Frank had sub 4.5 speed as a pro? Might have 20k yds now instead of 15k. Game over.
