Dude's a baller. So glad we got to see his prime on the Niners!

Good stuff. Thank you for the find.
By far my favourite non-dynasty era 9er. In fact, in my all time pantheon he's up there with Jerry, Joe and the rest.

It's a tragedy that we didn't win the SB with him.
On the subject of his downfield run blocking. I remember a Kaepernick run against the Jags in London in 2013, which I watched live from the stands. Frank bowled over a defender into the direction of a second defender, and brought them both down in one move. Superhero stuff.

I don't know where to find a gif, but it used to be posted here too. It's completely ridiculous; a human bowling ball scattering defender pins all over.
How awesome will it be if he actually hits 1k this season at 36?

Ever wonder how good Gore could have been if our offenses weren't such crap?

Consider this:

From 2007-15 (excluding '14 when he was injured), Adrian Peterson averaged 4.92 ypc and his backups (led by Chester Taylor) averaged 4.43, meaning Peterson added 0.49 ypc or 11%.

From 2005-14, Gore averaged 4.53 ypc and his backups (led by Kendall Hunter) averaged 3.74, meaning Gore added 0.79 ypc or 21%.

If you are wondering about the accuracy of this metric (call it YPC above replacement, to borrow from baseball sabermetrics), take a look at this article and decide for yourself how accurate the rankings are by this metric, compared to popular opinion.

Today (against the Dolphins) Frank had 55 yards on 11 carries for a 5 yard per carry average. He also had a reception. For the year he has 388 yards with 4.5 yards per carry, two touchdowns and seven receptions.

He is 134 yards from passing Barry Sanders for the third most yards by a running back in NFL history. (Almost 1600 yards behind Walter Payton for second all time.) This year so far he has been averaging about 66 yards per game, So a few more games and he has a good chance of moving up to the number three running back (for total yards gained on the ground) of all time.

Go Frank!

Dang, sorry I missed brodieblue's post. I think he posted while I was looking up stats.
