Speaking of, can the Jets accomplish the unbelievable feat of running the table in reverse? Remaining games: vs Raiders, @ Seabags, @ Rams, vs Browns, @ Pats. They'll be underdogs in all. I actually think it's harder than going 16-0. Only the Browns and Lions have done it the past 20 years.
I was thinking Patriots.

Better to go by scrimmage yds, not all-purpose. Only Jerry, Emmitt and Walter ahead of him.

Frank's also one td away from 100 total. Would be pretty cool if he hit 16k rushing, 20k scrimmage, and 100 tds all in the same game.

In the past six years he's had one season where he averaged over four yards a carry, one 100 yard rushing performance in the past two years, 4 TD's total in the past three seasons, at some point just holding on so you can eke out mediocre stats for terrible teams just to stat pad becomes marginally less impressive. Not sure he's helping his HOF case much anymore at this point. Marcus Allen had 11 rushing TD's his final season in the NFL at age 37. The last time Gore came close to hitting double digits in combined rushing/receiving touchdowns was 2016. Its like a former NBA All Star hanging out around for years after they peaked, settling for coming off the bench as the 8th or 9th man, playing 10 minutes a game just so they can slowly climb the points scored ranks.
Love Frank but this is worse than Emmitt Smith with the Cardinals, or Edgerrin James with the Cardinals or any aging RB with the Cardinals. Both he and AP need to call it a career after this season. Take Larry Fitzgerald with them too,

What if he just likes playing? It doesnt have to be about stat padding. To me hes like jerry rice, his career will end by being cut in training camp trying to make a roster. Btw edgerrin james actually ended with the seahawks 🤣🤣

He's not stat padding. He's just trying to be in the league at the same time as his son.

I think its better to go out on your own terms than to keep hanging around until you wind up involuntarily retired. Putting up middling stats for terrible teams at the end of your career isn't any kind of legacy enhancer.

If Gore enjoys going out there and getting his butt kicked on a weekly basis, more power to him I guess.
Overall I don't think him getting 35 yards a game on an 0-16 team will enhance his overall career outlook. Same thing with AP on the Lions, reduced to a shadow of the dominant RB he used to be.

It kinda seems like this is frank going out on his own terms. If he wanted to hang em up he could have done so but he wants to keep playing and a team is still willing to employ him. Not to many people can do that.
