I think his own terms is retiring from the NFL AFTER his own son does.

It kinda seems like this is frank going out on his own terms. If he wanted to hang em up he could have done so but he wants to keep playing and a team is still willing to employ him. Not to many people can do that.

For a guy who talks about the importance winning as much as he does, you think his ideal situation is splitting carries on a team that is destined to go 0-16?

I could understand it if he was still performing at a high level like Marcus Allen in his last few seasons or was riding teams to a SB ala Shady McCoy but neither of those apply to Gore. He's a guy just hanging on playing for an awful football team. It would even make sense to me if he was a career scrub just trying to scratch out one last year to set himself up for a post football life but Gore was a Pro Bowler that already had multiple big contracts.

Its tough seeing what he looks like now while watching the first half of the Seattle game this Sunday and then remembering back to the player he used to be back in his early days with the 49ers.

I guess if his ultimate goal is just to hang around the NFL, no matter the team or the situation, then more power to him.
I think he wants to pass up Walter Payton. That will take at least 2 more years. He has more yards this season than any 49er runner.

Obviously he would rather be on a winning team but this is probably what his terms are. Play until nobody wants him anymore then become some sort of coach or scout.
Has to be one of my favorite 49ers of All Time. Dude was a beast in his prime. Disappointed we never got him a championship.

Frank Gore can do whatever the f**k he wants.

Would love to see him picked up by a real team next year and go out like Jerome Bettis. He deserves it.
Frank can do what makes him happy.God bless Frank.

Agreed 100%, Frank is one of the all-time great Niners, he can do what he wants!

I miss seeing him squirt through lines when there was no hole, he made his own hole

How is it trolling to simply state facts? Every career comes to an end at some point. Both Gore and Peterson have had HOF level careers, neither is close to the player they once were. Both are in the same boat in just hanging on with bad teams.

Do people actually want to see Gore stay around long enough to get cut in training camp by some garbage team like the Jets or the Bengals in favor of some rookie that will never be a worth a damn?

I feel the same about both guys. If you still have the desire to play and you have enough left to make a team then go for it. If they're cool with it I think that's all that really matters.
