If one more back goes down I wouldn't be surprised to call him
sign him!!
Should sign him to our practice squad if nothing else.

Gore has said repeatedly that he wants to get into scouting, not coaching, and he's good friends with Jed York.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that Gore is scouting RBs for us very soon.

Come home, Frank.

I have a feeling Gore is going to finally retire :/ it's a shame because he can still play. He's been stuck on horrible teams and yet still doing okay. Story of his career.

With our luck with injuries, I expect he'll be on the team for the playoff run. And I hope we send him off into the sunset with a ring in his hand.

i do not want my last memory of frank on a practice squad.. like the last memory of rice in whatever jersey it was he put on for three days. seattle. denver? there was a theory and i think it has some merit,...... IF we are a good team/.. IF we are a playoff team.. and IF we get some late season injuries with the running backs.. then you make the call to frank. maybe he could help us like haley did in 98

Pretty much how I see it. If the stars align to have Frank still FA, 49ers in a playoff run. And our RB health woes to continue, then and only then do we see Frank actually play for the 49ers again. I'll admit to typing this with my fingers crossed, but odds are not good.

i love frank but no room for sentiment... as you said. all hinges on health of the backs.... the need for those guys to stay healthy and for wilson to return is greater than a want for frank for sentimental reasons.. as you said , things have to go just right.. which means somethings have to go wrong with us.. for frank to return as a player
