Pretty much how I see it. If the stars align to have Frank still FA, 49ers in a playoff run. And our RB health woes to continue, then and only then do we see Frank actually play for the 49ers again. I'll admit to typing this with my fingers crossed, but odds are not good.

If they didn't get that delay of game it very likely was gonna happen. And yea I'm not sure I could've recovered either.

I've never heard any coach, teammate, opposing player, anybody say anything negative about Gore. Class act and true 49er legend. Even without the titles he's up there with other 49er greats like Montana/Young/Rice/Lott/Taylor/Jones.

But a comeback from the hell we were in as a team. That would be so special with all the great players we watched lose over and over but stuck with us. Gore, Staley, Willis, Andy Lee, Brian Jennings, Alex Smith, Delanie, VD all missed out on those rings.
