Then if that's the case that "cream puff" needs to retire as well. Because if you get knocked out by a retired NFL RB you need to rethink your career choices.

In boxing those guys are called trial horses. All boxers face a few of them on the way up. Many are just club fighters like Rocky was. I hate to think that after alll thos eyears in the NFL Frank needs the money. I think he's doing it for fun. I hope he doesn't ever get in with a skilled boxer.

As an all-pro running back Frank knew how to take a punch and dish it out. He is super competitive, let him apply his energy wherever he chooses. Will always be in his corner rooting for him.

WELCOME HOME, FRANK!
Frank Gore is a definite a HOFer. Not a first ballot guy, but he'll get in for sure.

Some of his notables:
Only E.Smith and W.Payton have more rushing yards
He and E.James are the only RBs in the top 15 not already in the HOF.
4th in total yards from scrimmage. The rest of the top 10 are in the HOF.
Niners all time leader in rushing yards.

Jerome Bettis is in the HOF, and here is how Gore compares to him:
--Career Rushing—season average
J.Bettis: Out of 13yrs (2 teams), 267.6 attempts, 1,050yds rushing, 3.9ypa, 7.0 rushing TDs/season
F. Gore: Out of 12yrs (2 teams), 247.1 attempts, 1,089yds rushing, 4.4ypa, 6.2 rushing TDs/season

--Career Receiving—season averages
J.Bettis: 15 catches, 111.5yds receiving, 7.2yds per catch, 0.23 TDs
F. Gore: 34 catches, 288.3yds receiving, 8.4yds per catch, 1.1 TD

--Playoff Averages, per game--
J.Bettis: 6yrs, 14 games, 7 games started, 48.1yds rushing, 3.4ypa, 0.64 TDs per game
F. Gore: 3yrs, 8 games, 8 games started, 80.8yds rushing, 4.6ypa, 0.63 TDs per game

--Average of the best 4 seasons—
J.Bettis: 338 carries, 1,466yds, 4.4ypa, 8.25rush TDs, 24 catches, 192yds, 7.9ypc, 0.75 receiving TD
F. Gore: 270 carries, 1,310yds, 4.8ypa, 8.5rush TDs, 53 catches, 445yds, 8.5ypc, 1.75 receiving TD

--Other Stats of Note--
J.Bettis:
--Of 13 total seasons, EIGHT 1,000yd seasons, ZERO 1,000yd seasons after his 9th yr
--Averaged 4ypa or better only FOUR times in 13 seasons
--6 Pro Bowl seasons, 2 first-team All Pro Seasons, 1 2nd team
--1 Super Bowl Win, 14 carries, 43 yards, 3.1ypa, 0 TD
Frank Gore:
-- Of 16 total seasons, NINE 1,000yd seasons, TWO 1,000yrd season after his 9th yr (and 2 other 960+yd seasons)
--Averaged 4ypa or better TEN seasons in a row
--5 Pro Bowl seasons, 0 first-team All Pro seasons, 1 2nd team
--1 Super Bowl Loss, 19 carries, 110yds, 5.8ypa, 1 TD

If J.Bettis is a HOF RB, then Gore is EASILY a HOF RB.
