Lol, it's not that people are upset about him being fined. It's the fact that Tom Brady kicking someone and Trent Williams smacking the s**t out of someone after the game are less fines than Gores socks being low
I understand they have a dress code and as stupid as i think it is..those are the rules. Frank knows that.

The fine should be like $1,000.00 or some other penalty.... Imagine if our employer docked 25% of our pay because one day we were hot and loosened our tie for the last 2 hours of the job.

It's very easy to understand.
Wearing socks too low causes less endorsement money for the NFL. Players injuring each other does not.
Goodell could care less about player safety. It's all about the green.

Gore's second infraction of the year, Brady's first. No big deal...$10K buys a lot of socks.

I just rewatched the post-game from this last Sunday in Atlanta. Wasn't it great seeing Frank run around after the game? It was clear nobody appreciated the victory more than he did. For as long as this guy has been here, through all the terrible seasons and losing, he never spoke ill of a coach, a player, or the organization and he finally gets rewarded for doing things "the right way".
There was a poignant moment during the trophy presentation when Eddie was handing the Halas trophy over to Denise and Jed. Jed was speaking to Terry Bradshaw about the win and you could see Denise looking immediately off camera saying, "You did it for Momma" and then she blows a kiss. It was Frank she was talking to and he just ran up right between Jed and Terry and she gave him a big kiss on the cheek. It was a sweet moment and nice to see the (actual) owner of the team appreciate a guy who's given his heart and soul to the cause. If you remember, Frank lost his mother a few years ago now and it was a pretty big challenge for him to overcome at the time.
I (obviously) hope they win this Super Bowl and although it would be tough to lose him, but I'd be pretty happy for Frank if he rode off into the sunset on his biggest win ever.

Believe it or not there are many 9er fans that do not believe Gore is an elite back. I came across that often in the other 49er message board.
Hopefully if the 9ers win the Super Bowl this will give Gore more due respect as an all time great back for the franchise.

when we played the Panthers, I met Gore and I was wearing his jersey. He is sincerely sincere ... in person not just for the cameras.

Gore is a great player and a nice guy; however, after 8 years he knows he must follow the rules. And the more attention drawn by exceptional work / play will also draw more scrutiny.

It's harder to grab a bare-skinned sweaty lower leg and much easier to grab one with fabric on it. I was telling everyone in the room that Frank was cheating and was wondering why the refs didn't do anything about it. I had a feeling he would get fined. Didn't a couple of our guys get fined last year for too much white on there socks?

Unsure?
Kaep was making lots of decisions at the line of scrimmage including audibles and read options that helped us win.
