Screw those guys. They only talk about rushing yards and they sound like the scientist from the Simpsons. They're as stupid as the sportswriters who think Jimmy Graham is a real TE. Football is more than what you do with the ball in your hand.

Att. Andy Kagan called to say #49ers RB Frank Gore allegedly lost only $1.6M, not $8.7M, in BB&T/Jeff Rubin case. Kagan is amending suit now

Get em frankie G
Forget about Hall-of-Fame, Frank is here to PARTY!

If the 49ers were completive for Gore's whole career, he would be in the HOF. I think he would have to win 2 SB's as our starting RB and have 2 more 1000 yards seasons after this one.

I think if Gore could somehow pull off 2 more quality seasons of 1000 yards rushing or close to it, I'd say he'd be a lock. I think he'd really need to get to 12,000 yards rushing or close to pull it off. Right now he's at about 9500 yards, ranked 30th all time in the NFL. If he got to about 11,800, he'd be ranked 15th and would be a virtual shoo-in for the HOF.

12,000 + Super bowl gets him in no doubt.

I think Frank has a couple more 1K seasons left in him but like you have said, we win a Super Bowl he is in especially with the franchise that he is playing for. At the very least Jed will be giving him a red jacket for sure. And I just knew that we were giving the ball to Frank on 2nd and 5 with goal to go for glory ... needless to say this didn't happen and I was pissed!!!

Jerome Bettis didn't make it in this year and he won a Superbowl and finished 6th all time with 13,662 yards.

Bettis has a career average of under 4 yards a carry though. The reason he has so many yards is because he got a ton of touches and played for a long time. Gore would need to maintain his average touches a year for 6-7 more years to get the same number of attempts as Bettis did in his career. He'll for sure need a couple more good seasons to make it.

With the way Gore is playing right now, I can see him playing until he is 33-35 and being productive at that age.
