I'm sure this has been discussed a ton but does anyone know what the tailgating situation is going to be like? Anyone have a link within this thread or info?

Is that a legal question or a moral question?
I don't know the legal answer. It probably depends on a lot of factors.
If someone knocked on your door, you opened the door, they punch you in the face, and you ask them "Why did you hit me?", they say, "Because my friend died building your house", wouldn't you find that a little strange?
York secured a loan to build a stadium. He hired a general contractor to create that stadium. The general contractor is in charge of everything involved with the construction of the stadium. York has nothing to do with the construction.
And York isn't "rushing" the construction. The reason we were able to get it ready by the 2014 season is because York rushed to secure the LOANS to the stadium really fast. Someone posted an article about it recently.
The contractor gets a bonus for finishing by the 2014 season, but I don't think that is anything out of the ordinary. This contractor has done plenty of work on stadiums before. I could be wrong, but I don't think the rebar driver felt anymore "rush" to complete his delivery because the stadium is supposed to get finished at a certain time.
However, the fact that both workers were over 60 years of age, might insinuate that they either "A", they had been doing the job for so long that they took safety for granted, or "B", they weren't as quick and/or strong as a younger man to avoid whatever events occurred.

Nobody knows yet. The sales reps are telling differing versions. We will see what happens next year. The main claim is that they will rent out local business parking lots, certain ones will be designated for tailgating. The parking garage and great america parking are for luxury boxes and club seats.

So the big parking lot right next to the stadium null won't be for normal tailgating??? WEAK.

what's your deal?
The comment putting responsibility for contractor safety on York just spun me the wrong way. I can't tell if it was tongue-in-cheek or not. It's nearly impossible to figure that out with you sometimes.
are they or are they not trying to get the stadium done a full year ahead of schedule ?
It's a year ahead of schedule because they started construction one year earlier than they anticipated they could. As of mid August the schedule was two weeks ahead of the contractors planned completion, which isn't a lot for a 24-30 month project.

It was dis-respectful. The 49er players and owner felt it was. I was there. It was disrespectful. The player is just saying the right thing. Even as they wheeled him off I didn't think the cheer was all that strong. Usually in a situation like that the fans remaining in the stands would stand up and show him some love. No one around me did that. They just sat there and lightly clapped their hands together. I guess they were tired from doing the wave.
As I stated we have a pretty low football IQ among our fans. They continually cheer on critical 3rd downs or 4th down plays. They are oblivious to what is going on on the field.
I was also there it was nothing disrespectful about it. That game was one of the longest games ever and people were frankly getting bored at all the stops in play and the countless tv timeouts. Fans were just trying amuse themselves they have no idea how bad someone is hurt. when he got carted away they gave him love. no big deal, the owner needs to be respectful to the thousands shelling their hard earned money to go watch football in that dump while paying $40 to park in the dirt.
I agree with this.
They are making a big stink about it because it was a neck injury. The fans can't know that. For all they know he broke his collar bone or something like that. The game was very long. The first quarter seemed like an entire half, and there were a TON of injuries before that point.
Jed York and the players are overreacting perhaps. But as always, they are saying what they are "supposed" to say. Jed York is "supposed" to be angry about it, because that is what the national media demands from these types of stories.
As far as York having any responsibility for a construction fatality... ehh... no.
Does an owner of a house that is under construction have any responsibility if someone dies at that house ?
Only if they're negligent in some way. Otherwise it's on the contractors liability and compensation insurance.

Then, another 10 percent is due March 1, and ticket invoices go out in March and are to be paid in full by June.
Interesting. Guess they will do anything to sell these last few seats and they do make more money off interest this way I guess.
You probably have that other 10% due Jan 3 btw, not March.
Here is the current payment schedule sent out to people with seats (who have already paid 20%):
• Friday, January 3, 2014 – Final down payment is due (invoice to arrive late November)
• Saturday, March 1, 2014 – First annual financed installment is due (invoice to arrive late January)

Sorry...if peeps don't like what he said they can decide not to buy tickets. What was going on was disrespectful to the injured player and he said so. I got no problem with that. "Silver spooned douche bag" or not, he was dead on.
Jed york is really pissing me off lately first he sent Aldon away to rehab which was totally not necessary and now he disrespects the fans. While people are dying at the stadium he is building because they are being forced to work at a faster rate and safety is being compromised.

You can tailgate there if you have a club seat. :) The lot isn't large enough to support all the fans.
