What happens if you opt not to purchase the parking passes? Do you lose your designated parking area for years to come?
I signed up for open flame but I assume due to popular demand, I was not selected and was given a pretty far spot with no tailgating permitted...red section 5. If this is the case, I'd rather take light rail.

I think parking will be the major hiccup in year 1. I requested to have an open flame tailgating parking spot fairly late, and I ended up getting Green 4.
I can't really complain since I waited too long to change my answer.

I responded ASAP within minutes of the email/survey with an open flame request but still got screwed with Red 5. Already inquired with my rep but got an automated reply saying they'll get back to me eventually.

Wow, that's terrible! Yeah I contacted one of the reps directly and they were able to squeeze me in.
Hopefully they're able to add you in also. They've been pretty good so far with everything, but the parking assignment feels like it's been a mess.

Were you a season ticket holder at Candlestick? If so did you have a parking pass there?
I think what happened is that previous season ticket holders who requested open flame got preference at the new stadium for those lots. I know a new season ticket holder who usually tailgates with us that was the only one not in Blue 1 but Red 5 or something like that.
