LOL I'm hearing that the arms of some of the chairs are already coming off.
I had culinary dreams when I was a young man. I helped open 3 different restaurants and every time we did a "soft open" friends and family only. This soft open is always a fiasco, but vitally important because it allowed you to identify and then iron out the wrinkles before you were open to the general public. Sometimes the wrinkles get completely ironed out, some times they are mostly and one time it was still wrinkly as hell, but in EVERY case when we did open to the general public it was always better than it was on the soft open.

People need to settle the hell down. They soft opened on soccer fans. I personally love the Niners for trolling soccer fans like that, and the soccer fans were so happy to be trolled they have signed up for more.

Good points. Not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp. Everything isn't going to be perfect right out the gate. The team knows this, which is why they scheduled these opening events in the first place as sort of a testing sample or "soft opening" as you described - it makes it easier to discover the bugs so they can fix and refine them by the time of the BIG events.

What's worse: some malfunctions during a soccer event with 3/4 capacity OR open 1st sporting event during a big Niner preseason or regular season game where these malfunctions occur and they'd have even less time than they do now to smoothen the wrinkles?

The haters know it was a test run and things go wrong, but a lot of them are still butt hurt that they are priced out so they will take jabs wherever they can.
They also have a few meaningless preseason games to fix the issues.

Straight hater. Jesus.

Here's what he calls the "tiny patch of shrubs" that he "barely noticed" running the length of the tower roof deck that nobody is going to notice unless . . . you know . . . you go on the roof deck. The dude has a very punchable face too.
