We always roll out Enterprise applications and in every single instance, the crap doesn't work right and it eventually gets fixed.

Par for the course.

It would have been more shocking if everything went 100% to plan and everything was working flawlessly. That then would have been news worthy. Soft opens are done for a reason.

I just have to say...I know a number of you are just trolling and having fun with it, but there are some of you that really disappoint me.

I swear...some peeps never learn the lesson. Its always a rush to judgment. Every preseason the Webzone goes apesh*t one way or another completely overreacting to SOMETHING. They then do the same thing after every sigle game an in the end just look silly for having been so reactionary.

This is the EXACT SAME THING.

This is a brand new building. Its the first NEW building the 49ers have EVER played in. There were ALWAYS going to be kinks to get worked out. The connectivity of the Wifi is unprecedented in scale...so OF COURSE they are going to have trouble with it. The traffic patterns have only ever been predicted before now so now they have to go to work to find the most efficient way to get people out.

Seats? Can't speak to that.

How many of you actually went to a game or the open house and are pissed about the stadium right now? My guess is most here b*tching are either trolling (I see you Chaz and Sus) or haven't even been in the place yet.

My take after being there?

Better than I had imagined. Sightlines are fantastic. Field is closer than I expected. Concourses are HUGE. Food better than peeps have reported (I liked the Frank...not sure what peeps are complaining about). The Jumbotrons can't be done justice in pictures.

Will Wifi Issues be fixed? Yes. Will the staff get better trained? Yes. Will traffic get better as BOTH the people running the event AND people attending the games become more savvy with getting in and out of the place? Yes.

Bottom line? Chill the f*ck out people.

EXACTLY.

It's like people saying they should give up on the season because we lost a Preseason game. Happens every year and a few weeks later they just look stupid.

Nicely stated
I know they labeled this the "technologically advance stadium" but everyone knows there will be hiccups when this stadium opens to the public, you'd be crazy enough to believe that it'll be perfect on day one. I bet when apple's new UFO campus opens it'll have its issues as well. Seems like people are just nitpicking, just like Anne Killions article she only quoted people that have complaints about the stadium but never quoted the people that likes it.

Not to worried. I have my 56 inch big screen and usually can only attend 1 game a year. That's if I can afford it this year. Right now airfare is cheaper than nosebleed seats. No thanks.

that should NOT happen for such a supposedly technologically advanced stadium

It ALWAYS happens when you launch a huge project like this one.

There is no way to test for having 48K people in the stands until you have 48k people in the stands.

The "test" is a soccer game that will expose the weaknesses in the network and tell the people behind the scenes where the problems are.

It is obvious that you don't work in the IT or technology field with this comment Chit not working right, buggy software, and technological complexities are why I have a job Otherwise I would be living in a box on teh sidewalk next the Levi's OK, now I am bailing on this thread ... lol.

Actually exactly the opposite. I AM in IT and whenever anything gets rolled out it NEVER, EVER works right out of the gate.

Obamacare lol

You misunderstand Marvin, I was commenting on the highlighted part of the previous post to yours. I can see where it would be confusing though. I was just too lazy to find the original post. It sounds like you and I both work with this type of stuff all the time, so I was actually supporting your comment. OK, now I am really bailing on this downhill thread
Somebody have cliff notes in case I get tested on this later?
