here, let me put it in NT terms:

having a history of sucky backup QBs, and the risk of having a sucky QB if ur starting QB is injured = history/risk of cardiovascular impairment

having sucky QB start because starting QB gets injured = heart attack

team losing due to sucky QB getting sacked all the time because he doesn't play as well as starting QB when the HEAT is put on (sacks) = heat stress injury

But yeah, next year maybe the team should NOT schedule 1pm starts for the preseason home games (they used to always IIRC, be late afternoon/early evening games in August unless nationally televised), especially since the South Bay isn't like Bayview/HP microclimate-wise.

Tim Ryan speculated that the start time was to try and simulate the conditions that the 49ers would be seeing during the regular season (sun angle, temperature, etc).
the team of course couldn't foresee the unfortunate heat casualty, but I do hope they consider it in future if subsequent preseason games at Levi's are approaching 80 degrees, (to not bow to league/network mandate but factor in risk to the fans and move kickoffs to later start times if it's needed...there's no honor lost in asking for even Sept. games to start later if it's hot enough...CA yes has great weather, but giving into the hubris & ignoring the fact that sometimes game time & temp won't mix and are a risk to fans in an outdoor stadium (unlike indoor ones in AZ, TX, the south, etc. which for a fact often have unbearable weather) is folly...

Maybe a preseason game isn't the time to ask this, but can anyone chime in on the SRO sections? Whereabouts they're located, which section is the best, etc. I have tickets to the Chiefs game and Red Zone Rally tickets too so I need to figure out when to leave the rally and try to get a good spot.
Pics I saw on Twitter....

mullets . . . .. its the answer to everything, it should keep out the sun during home games.
Stadium is cursed

Yeah...not sure what the hell he's talking about. Are all stadiums supposed to be in domes now?

SC will have some of the most moderate weather in the NFL. What do you think the temperature is in preseason for a Panthers or Chiefs game?

Peeps are used to the cold of Candlestick and think that anything above "f*ck its cold" is dangerously hot. Wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen and STFU.

People in the Bay Area get heat stroke over 70 degree weather.

Same reason the Hawks play in a coffin with wonky roof supports; Seismic concerns. A lot of people seem to forget that when bashing the stadium's design.

LOL.

Cracks me up (not the fan...sad story), but all the complaints about the heat. They play games in other parts of the country in temps in the 90s and fans here are calling 78 "dangerous". LOL.
