This one announcer named Arnie Spanier (StinkenGenius-nickname) was making me laugh today... talking about all he needed to see was two preseason games to know that Denver will be unstoppable, Cawks will repeat and 49ers will come in last in the division, etc....

Laying an egg on the field will get you a quiet Stadium. Pretty simple to see..... Sunday Night against Chicago will be a different story.

I was about to follow you until... this is page 666 and your instagram name sounds evil

BTW, what kind of fish was it?

Till this day I'm not sure what kind of fish it was but I'm 100% sure I saw one

Let's just hope you don't get her prego
Yeah, I doubt Levi's can get to Seattle's level. Would be nice but a whole lot of factors goes into CLink's noise advantages. The place was built to be a great HFA.

Arrowhead's design is simpler but definitely provides for a great HFA. The bowl design is ideal for great acoustics; fully enclosed and not sitting on top of many (if any) club/luxury boxes. Plus the rows of seats are highly sloped.

Levi's CAN get loud but it will depend on the fans. Noise factor could have been better but 1) it's a meaningless preseason game and 2) the team laid a complete egg. I was at the game and tbh, there wasn't much to cheer about. Awful QB play, 3 and outs every drive, secondary getting scorched, not many big plays, etc.

The energy definitely peaked before and at the beginning of the game when more starters were in. I also taped the pre game show and re watched it; one of the things the commentators kept noting was how loud it was on the field and how they had to scrunch closer together to hear themselves talk. The place can/will get loud and we'll see that come regular season and playoffs.

this all day long. we can debate who is louder, who is pumpin in noise, what decibel it peaked at. but at the end of the day it comes down to the fans and their willingness to be loud. sure seattle is loud, but theres other stadiums that get loud enough to affect the visiting teams O. the fans just have to be willing to do it.

Exactly. Regardless of what acoustical effects engineers can design, it all comes down to the fans at the end of the day and how they deliver on game day. Some of the loudest stadiums in the league are open air stadiums (CLink, Arrowhead, Mile High); meanwhile some of the domed stadiums and largest in capacity are among the quietest (ex. Cowboys stadium).

If anything can predict a super bowl, its preseason games with half the starters out

Its definitely more of a whine and cheese crowd compared to the last decade at the Stick. I know it was only preseason, but my section wasn't very loud. Wouldn't be surprised to see them bust out the "jazz hands" when the Niners final do score.

well the stick wasn't very loud

BS, back in the day The Stick was loud all the time and super loud for big games and playoffs, of which there were many I couldn't hear my buddy screaming at me right next to me. I wonder how many season tix holders were at the game, coz judging from the dress and look of people; it just didn't look like any kind of hard core NFL/49er crowd, which would equal not loud. There were articles about how 1 out of 5 people had thier faces buried in their HP. I agree with OakNiner. Not trying to start anything, but it do look like this. Have to wait till opening day, if that aint off the graph, well you know then..

Preseason is a joke. There should be two preseason games maximum. Players secure in their roster spot don't really want to play and risk getting hurt in meaningless game. Sure, there will be players trying hard to make the team but tough to evaluate when so many on the field are not giving 100%.

Teams don't game plan-

Rarely if ever do all of the starters play even a whole half of a game in preseason

The players are more worried about getting injured before the reg season then winning in preseason.

Contracts for most veteran players are not guaranteed (for that year) unless they are on roster for game 1 of reg season. How do you think those players feel about risking injury in preseason game

s**tty teams often have good preseason records.

IDK, I saw a lot of starters on the field during the last two 49er games. Just not 49er starters.

I live in Sacramento, its around 100 every f**king day here. IDGAF about sitting in 78 degree heat for a niner game, lol.

right! I'll be there this week to check it out myself finally...

I'm from Guam where it's like 90s and humid and it feels way hotter and stickier than 100 degree weather. I live in Seattle now and got sunburned in 80 degree dry weather. Reason being in Guam (or anywhere hot) you say Eff the outside, and you just stay indoors 24-7. When it's actually reasonable like 78-85. You stay outdoors all day, and if it's a dry heat you feel comfortable without realizing just how dehydrated you're actually getting. When it's humid you're sweaty and sticky, it's kind of a a constant reminder to re-apply sunblock and rehydrate. Anyway looking at the stadium pictures, being surrounded by tons of sweaty bodies, wide open areas for the sun to beat down and heat up that concrete flooring. I'm assuming it was a bit hotter than the actual weather stated.
