lol we cant even get grass right

i will be honest the field looked good but at times especially up and down the whole field through the middle i noticed flaws...turf is too loose, too much dirt is being sprayed up which means in time (& short time) that chunks of grass will be coming up
Bob Lange @49ersPR

The 49ers organization would like to apologize to any fans who were inconvenienced by today's practice ending early.

We have determined the appropriate measures necessary to have the field ready for Sunday and look forward to hosting the San Diego Chargers
It'll be fine. Just growing pains associated with building a new Stadium.
Time to call in George Toma. He can fix any turf anywhere. Jed make the call.

I noticed that too. The middle of the field looked it had a lot of dry spots from the game on Sunday.
Looks like I was right when I said our field would end up looking like FedEx Field come playoff time

Man, you sure told us.
The root (pun intended) cause:

They didn't transplant a patch of grass from Candlestick from the exact spot where Dwight Clark made The Catch..... (Better do it before the implode the old lady)

...also get a priest to bless it.

Then sacrifice a chicken to Jobu.

I left at halftime. Took me about 40 minutes to get back to SF from Red Lot 5. Pretty sure surface and 237 traffic will add about 20 minutes or more. 101 is usually only slow near 92 (and 380 if you cut over to 280 like I do) if at all.

hmm. this will be my first time driving around there (from dallas)...should be "interesting."

True!

in fact, from that image, it looks like even the patched spot is dying out again.

That was a preseason game and many fans left at halftime. I assume the traffic will be much worse during reg season.
