Marvin49- I for one LOVE my seats. I can get up for a TV timeout, go to the bathroom and make it back before the commercial is over. I can run and buy a hamburger, pretzel and a drink in a single TV timeout.
Marvin49, you can do that in your mancave, This is football

Did you notice the stadium couldn't even get a good "GO NINERS" together or a LOUD "D_E_F_E_N_C_E"

I guess we just need to give it time since there's no going back

It won't get better. Just check out the club sections during the game, especially the 80k's. About halfway empty. Too busy sipping martinis to sit in their seats and cheer.

True on the 80ks but only on the sunny side. The home side was full and even Barry Bonds was sitting in that section.

...the entire season isn't played in the late summer. Won't always be that hot.

I realize not ever stadium experience will be like mine, but I absolutely love it.

Based on where you're sitting, you're probably in the shade for most of the game if not all. However, 80 percent of the stadium sits directly in the sun. Maybe its not a big deal if your from the central valley or weather that's consistently north of 90, but if your from the bay, the heat is obnoxious. For some reason the sun seems far more focused in the stadium and its easily 10 degrees hotter inside than outside the stadium.

Right....but it's September. It will never be hotter than it is right now and the temperatures will drop as the season wears on.

It's definitely gonna put a heat advantage on teams early into the season, that sun bouncing off that turf, ooh, and you thought being in the stands was bad. We'll beat teams up in a cold, horrible manor like SD did to Seattle, like a Vietnamese prison dungeon.

Seriously, that turf is gonna end some f**king careers, we'll be the demons of the NFL when Russell Wilson gets trapped in a pile of mud on Thanksgiving, laying like Radeo Raheem in the middle of the f**king street, with the Madden Injury cart crashing into one of the Concords, and taking out a whole row of paying customers, and tax payers of the Santa Clara community. Our offense is full of speedy guys, why not let them glide?

Because Turf sucks.

Silly cone valley fans are no better than the " thugs at the Stick "

Here is my take on the stadium!

The fans were loud/quiet at appropriate times, up until the 4th down attempts in the 4th quarter. I'm not sure why people got lightweight ignorant then. I believe the fanbase could be louder and attempt to at least show more enthusiasm as the years go by. As long as fellow fans educate others or take charge by helping w/ ques. One tip: is point to the large as teleprompter like something amazing happened so they can see the ques for themselves. Also, it's important for the people controlling the teleprompters to be on point and on every down. It will not get better until the Niner org and fans make it become apart of their identity.

The seats were a lot smaller than in Candlestick (at least in my section) I have one of those addball 4seat sections that are directly above the entrances in the 200's. It's awesome not having someone infront and behind you, and it drew a lot of attention and purchase request. I am sort of happy if I had to be in the 200's that it's at least the best seats in the section.

The bathrooms were a lot nicer, which would have to have been expected....And it didn't feel like I walking on piss like I do in O.co (yes huge A's fan) or Candlestick. There were hardly any lines, I handled my business and left easily.

Cool feature that I never really noticed in other stadiums, was when refs were reviewing plays (which way way too many than most fans would have liked) it shows what and how they are looking at the play on the teleprompter. It took me until the second half to realize it haha. Other than that, I don't know what makes this stadium standout as a modern technological advancement... It looks like a half completed H.S. toothpick model. The Wifi didn't even work, I had to connect to Xfinity wifi to check everything.

The beer selection was meh. I guess it was my fault not taking the time to look for the so called area that had the local craft beers, I stuck w/ a shock top by the bar near the main entrance corner. They didn't even have orange peels which was sort of a bummer. Who serves shock top with orange peels am I right?.......The food was pretty good though, of course way overpriced, but I guess that is normal. I had the jalepeno/cheese stuff brats w/ caramalized onions on top. And I jacked some of my brothers curry chick/rice.

The field still seemed to have trouble, I'm not sure what the reports were on that subject, but before the game began I noticed many divots already. My main concern is someone who is tall and lanky who likes to run instead of step up in the pocket getting injured, because of the crappy field that Niners neglected to oversee. I mean why would they? They got their money already hahaha...

The weather was awesome, thankfully there are no real games in July/Aug otherwise I'd probably have third degree burns. It was a nice breezy afternoon that allowed us to BBQ and enjoy the weather.

Overall, the new stadium is a 7/10. Hopefully, they can fix the field, and the fans work together to create a more enthusiastic aura to help create an identity. Other than thugs and wine/cheese crowd.... Which is sort of ironic in itself heh.

Oh ps. biggest gripe, if you're one of the fans who began leaving at the beginning of the 4th quarter, frak off and never come to a game again please.

I disagree, I've played on various turf fields, coach kids that play on it, and in general it's a great surface to play on...without question it's FAR better than many of the grass surfaces we deal with. Granted, big difference when you're talking NFL-level where they have the money to maintain awesome grass fields, and per NFLPA still the overall favorite, but turf (espeically brand-name FieldTurf) at some fields like Lucas Oil and Clink rank very high.

I'm in 224, and I felt like the section was loud and into the game for the most part. I lost my voice at the game as well.

My buddy that owns the club seats I sat in is actually a huge Seahawks fan and goes to many of their home games...during pregame with the cheers for Montana, Gore, and then during first defensive series with the blocked punt, he said (yelled) that it sounded almost as loud to him as Clink. But that noise level was not constant throughout the game, and I think a lot of that can be blamed on the penalties, replays, and just a s***ty 2nd half performance by the 49ers.

Yeah the start of the game sounded loud as s**t to me on the TV. But like you said, the momentum got killed and so did the noise.

This is exactly on point. I felt like the loud cheering on 3rd and 4th downs on the final drive led to those timeouts/delay of game. That was probably the loudest I heard the fans since the opening series. I was in disbelief when the people next to us left on 3rd down on the last drive. I don't even know how you do that. I kind of felt like the stadium was too squeaky clean and made people just feel like tourists instead of fans.. but then again maybe I just miss the Stick. I felt like I did my part and cheered loud when it was time to cheer, which maybe inspired a few lone true fans in my section, and tried to let people know to pipe down on offense (without being THAT guy). I really hope we can do better as time goes on, and slowly this crowd will be educated. I hope everyone here on WZ at least does their part and we can change the culture over time!
