I think it's funny that with so much talk about how "the game is getting soft" that the fans are complaining about sitting in the sun for 2 or 3 games a year. The rest of the year that stadium is far more comfortable than Candlestick or Kezar ever were. I don't hear fans in Green Bay crying for heat lamps. Suck it up and support the team or stay home and watch on the tube. I know it would be nice to have a 10 minute drive to the stadium with 75 degrees all year and $50 tickets but that isn't happening. Reality in the year 2018.

This argument would be valid if the 49ers did not charge a ridiculously high amount for PSL's. THAT is the issue. You can't require fans to fork over tens of thousands of dollars simply for the right to purchase seats (which aren't cheap), and then expect them to just "tough it out" when the conditions aren't ideal. These comparisons to other stadiums and teams where the fans don't complain makes no sense - because those fans didn't have to pay PSL's.

What new stadium isn't using the PSL system for season tickets?

They all are. Which new stadium has it's fans cooking like they're in a microwave in half of the stadium?

Just another recycled "yorks are cheap" discussion going on for the thousandth time
Nothing to see here
My argument isn't even that they are cheap. Just that they are lying.
Why are they lying?

None that I know of. Most new stadiums are indoor because their outdoor environment is in a dessert or very humid climate. They don't have the benefit of building in the most desirable climate in the world, like Levi's.

It's not desirable if you're sitting for three straight hours in direct sunlight and reflected light from a glass tower.
But your answer is correct - none. So people should stop comparing Levi's to other stadiums. The uniqueness of fans being hot and microwaved along with high PSL's stands alone.

The conditions in a football stadium don't change the desireability of the climate in a region. Don't be self centered. lol
And what's this reflected light off the tower nonesense you're trying to bring up? The tower is like 70% open air inside the stadium and the light never hits it to reflect off of. Were you the one that brought that up before? This theory makes no sense.

The glass faces east. So I would get AM sun on it, not the afternoon sun.

Understood. So no one goes there in the morning before games? That sun reflecting off the tower doesn't heat up the East side stands? It absolutely does.
I went to a couple games last year, both in December. I sat in the East side for the Titans game and the sun was punishing. It wasn't really "hot" as far as temperature, but it just felt like there was a magnifying glass on me. Don't know how else to explain it. I sat in the West side for the Jaguars game, and it was a totally different experience. Shaded the entire time. Granted it was a bit overcast that day so that helped, but still. And it's obvious from the TV telecasts that a large number of fans on that side have an issue with the sun. I guess we'll see this year when the team is winning games if the fans "tough it out" like so many in here are saying they should.
And I'm curious, for those who are saying to tough it out - have any of you sat in the East side seats? Do any of you have season tickets there and paid PSL's?

Is the west side the home side or visitor side? Might be going to the last home game against Chicago and I don't want to roast.
