Understood. So no one goes there in the morning before games? That sun reflecting off the tower doesn't heat up the East side stands? It absolutely does.

I went to a couple games last year, both in December. I sat in the East side for the Titans game and the sun was punishing. It wasn't really "hot" as far as temperature, but it just felt like there was a magnifying glass on me. Don't know how else to explain it. I sat in the West side for the Jaguars game, and it was a totally different experience. Shaded the entire time. Granted it was a bit overcast that day so that helped, but still. And it's obvious from the TV telecasts that a large number of fans on that side have an issue with the sun. I guess we'll see this year when the team is winning games if the fans "tough it out" like so many in here are saying they should.

And I'm curious, for those who are saying to tough it out - have any of you sat in the East side seats? Do any of you have season tickets there and paid PSL's?

Is the west side the home side or visitor side? Might be going to the last home game against Chicago and I don't want to roast.

West is the home side. Pay the premium for it. Lol

Do the nosebleed seats have shade on both sides?

No. Only the west side has afternoon shade. Endzone end seats you'll have sun on you. Either your left or right. But it's not as bad as the east side where the sun reflects off that giant mirror and kills people.
Choose wisely.

But those stage lights reflecting off that glass...brutally hot.

Okay I get it. It's hot on that side of the stadium during early season games. If you sat in the upper deck in what would have been right field at the Stick the sun was no picnic either. Even though it was not as hot there the sun was blinding late in the game since it was right in the fans eyes. The point is the stadium is not going to change in the near future if ever. You can chose to stay away or make the best of it. Play it up and give your section a name like Sun Gods or whatever like fans at other stadiums do. I'm sure places like Arrowhead and Mile High have seats in the sun that are hot during the early season too. Then they have to sit in the cold weather in the winter. At least they didn't move to Las Vegas!

Like I said before, you do realize the whole tower inside the stadium isn't glass, right? There isn't this huge light/heat reflection like you keep saying.

Also, the morning sun isn't as powerful as it is in the afternoon, so there isn't some super charge up period where the tower is preheating the east side. This theory is just silly.

I think it's funny that with so much talk about how "the game is getting soft" that the fans are complaining about sitting in the sun for 2 or 3 games a year. The rest of the year that stadium is far more comfortable than Candlestick or Kezar ever were. I don't hear fans in Green Bay crying for heat lamps. Suck it up and support the team or stay home and watch on the tube. I know it would be nice to have a 10 minute drive to the stadium with 75 degrees all year and $50 tickets but that isn't happening. Reality in the year 2018.

Good post.
