I'm really hoping that masks won't be required by then. That's more than 3 months away and a lot can change. If the numbers keepdropping like they have been and more people get vaccinated, the mask requirement may be lifted. I was watching the Giants game yesterday and again saw several people without masks. I guess they have either made it optional or they're checking vaccination cards. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed and hope the virus numbers don't start going up again.

Masks are a "requirement" at the giants game, even in the vax sections.

proof of neg. test or full vax is no longer a requirement to enter Oracle park

If masks are a requirement they sure aren't enforcing it. I saw many people in the stands during the last 2 games that weren't wearing masks. It wasn't just while eating either. I wonder if they relaxed that rule starting this home stand since it's the first one since the new CDC guidelines. SF also has one of the highest rates of vaccination. I think they're over 50%. Whatever the case, things could and probably willl look different in September. Look how much has changed in the last 3 months.

Depends on the usher. When I was there, they kicked someone out for not wearing their mask. but then a sec next to us some girls were not wearing theirs. It's an official requirement, but enforcement is another thing.

a good guess would be by the time football season is here, mask might not even be required

Required or not, there will probably still be a lot of people wearing them if they pack the place. Personally.I wouldn't want to sit for 3 1/2 hours with my mouth and nose covered. It's bad enough to go 1'/2 an hour at the grocery store. Since I no longer live in SC county and don't have tickets, it's not really an issue for me personally.

Yeah but they do not enforce mask wearing at the Giants games. I've been to 3 Giants games and in our sections almost everyone takes their masks off. Plus they don't come down and say "sir please put your mask on"

With the new guidelines and the fact that they just started allowing fans back in, I'm guessing that the ushers were told not to make a big deal out of it. I'm sure they don't want to turn off the fans just as they are coming back.

By the way. If they start asking for proof of vaccination it will require people to carry there card. The ones that they issued here in Oregon were too big to fit in the wallet so I copied mine on heavy photo paper and reduced the size by 80%. Now it fits in the card slots. Office depot will laminate them for free.

I just take a photo of mine. That has worked.
September-October games are big nopes for me with the blazing sun, unless it's a night game. Last time I went to one was a season opener in 2017, first game of the ShanaLynch era, and everyone was using the Tom Rathman towel to protect themselves from the sun

Did anyone ever conclude why it feels like Phoenix in Santa Clara? Is it the angle of the stadium? The wall of glass press boxes reflecting the heat? I've been to an early season day game and baked out in the upper deck of the east side, so I know its real.
Would love to go to the Packers game. Haven't been to a game since the 2nd Rams game in 2014. Can't believe they lost that day

IIRC, that was the hottest game ever at Levi's. It topped out at 99 degrees. Barely any wind.

I was at that game. It was against the Panthers. We were hot AF.

I was at this game as well. It was definitely the worst game experience in terms of weather with the chiefs 2014 game being a close second.

I still can't believe heat in Santa Clara VS SF wasn't factored into the decision when they changed the city without the design.

This whole "schedule weeks 1 and 2 on the road to avoid hot home games" is a temporary solution.

I fear for the year where we draw 2 tough road games early and start in an 0-2 hole and potentially miss the playoffs because our f**king stadium has such a s**tty design.
