wow......you forget how good he was sometimes
I don't, man. I don't. I remember being amazed on a weekly basis for years and years and I'll never forget.
Oh, so this!
You just never felt we were ever out of reach of winning a game. It wasn't over until the fat lady sung, period. Those Saints and Eagles games where we come back from huge deficits where purely awesome. He just kept us in the game.
That is why I hated how he left. That is why I don't like Seifert. (oh, did I say that out loud?)
It almost breaks my heart everytime I watch that game. It is a reminder of how he left. I would rather see all the other games.
PS Watching that clip, I remember seeing it live and I did believe what Dierdorf said in that "Everything is right with the world again."

Sure would be nice if Vernon Davis had soft hands like Brent Jones. Jones not only makes a great catch to keep the drive alive around mid-field, but gets the TD Catch as well. I'm hoping Vernon is working on those hands.

What? You knew someone would give props to Brent Jones for having soft hands, or you knew someone was going to complain that Davis doesn't have them?

The one play they didn't show that I would've liked to have seen is the "no-look" pass to Watters.
I remember in the post game interview, Watters was amazed as he had never seen a no look pass in football before, only in basketball.

Was checking out another video posted here and found this video of Joe's last game as a 49er.
You poor newbs who never got to see him play can get an awe inspiring glimpse of the "Joe Affect" when he was leading the team. He made it look so easy.

Here's another good one..

Enjoy!
Pure coolnes himself, I only wished i was old enough to have seen Joe Himself command the huttle! But growing up seeing Steve wasn't to shabby either. It's kind of scary how Tom Brady resembles Joe's delivery IMO.
Well he grew up watching and idolizing him. It makes sense he would match his technique and delivery.
I know what if's are kind of lame....but man what if we would have just drafted Brady in the 6th round instead of letting him go in the 7th to the pats....sux
