Can Ricky Jean-Francois be the GOAT @ lineman?

Ill say one thing, TKO Spikes on his segment on 49ers.com said "I wouldn't usually put on a rookie, but I got respect for this guy" or something to that nature when referring to Ricky Jean-Francois. Then a shirtless Ricky (ripped for a big man) got on camera.

Like you guys keep saying, talk is cheap. But I got my fingers crossed we got a steal in the 7th.

I hope he's a steal

If by G.O.A.T you mean Gayiest Of All Time, maybe. That is a much more likely scenerio than Greatest Of All Time.

Hahahaha
It's great to have ambitious goals, everyone should.

Hopefully he doesn't lose sight of the shorter term goals such as making the team and cracking the starting line-up.

Which makes him a 7th rounder
Right now, I'd be happy if RJF just made the team and contributed. As for saying that he wants to be the GOAT at d-line, you really can't fault a guy for setting a high standard for himself, so long as he's willing to pay the price to be the best.
yes and Crabtree is the next Jerry Rice and/or Randy Moss ....can we just wait and see?

Link?
RJF won't even be on the roster if McDonald is healthy.

Maybe the practice squad GOAT.

You see your looking at it as its written, but not understanding the big picture. Of course hes a 7th rounder, thanks Dr. Obvious, but for his play on the field and potential, he was projected around a 2nd-4th round pick. Which is why I said I wouldn't really look at him as a 7th round pick. Different atmosphere, coaching, teammates, mindset, who knows maybe his play will finally live up to the potential people once saw in him.

I saw a lot of SEC football last year, and RJF was a dog. Completely underachieved. That is the main reason he was a 7th rounder.

I will agree that he has the athletic skills of a player who should have graded higher, but with inconsistent play at LSU, academically bombing out, and a less than stellar work ethic, he has a long ways to go.

Finally, RJF listed at a fairly short 6'2 5/8", which is not an ideal height for a 3-4 DE.
Probably not, but if he thinks that way good for him.

That's what I'm thinking. He has the athleticism to play end, but the size and power to play inside.

From what I've seen of him, he looks like a NT when moved inside, sort of Jay Ratliff'ish.
