Just got finished reading an article about Ray Mcdonald being placed on PUP. As I was browsing though I saw a link to a video on Kawme Harris and his horrible play during the 2006 season. The video was made to be funny (interesting music) but what was most important is that it really made me look at Alex Smith. He was not perfect but was able to get the ball down field despite the fact he was hit almost every play. He also displayed some great athleticism and speed for a QB. It makes me see why we drafted him. I am not partial about Smith or Hill. My opinion is left at the best player should start. Maybe this will make you think as well.

Wow you took this post right out of my head!! I just watched that video, and the first thing that I truly saw was the resilience of Alex Smith. Secondly, damn was Kwame a terrible tackle and THAT, WEBZONE, IS WHAT YOU CALL A TRUE BUST!!!! NOW YOU HAVE SEEN WHAT A BUST LOOKS LIKE AND IT IS SURELY NOT ALEX SMITH. But right on, he looked very well put together. With the right leadership and guidance, with a decent, not great, but decent O-Line, he has the potential to be a good QB. Anyone who tries to bash that is just plain ignorant or has no clue about the game of football. Some people like to bash other to make themselves feel better. Great post!!!

ahh that seattle game where he avoided the sack was so bad ass lol. nice play
WOW did anyone block i9n those highlights errr lowlights. I was counting the seconds from the snap generally in the nfl the qb should have a solid 3 seconds to thhrow the ball. Most of those I got to about 2 seconds thats just awful. Oh yah no more Nolan woooooo hoooooo!!!!!
Damn I hate Nolan, the problem was never Alex. Is was the damn coaching not recognizing they had a sh*tty arse Oline . Now Alex is broken, hopefully he's back to 100%.
Let's hope he can come out and show us in training camp
Yeah that video made me rethink the Alex Smith debate again.

I'm just waiting for that Drew Brees moment that I hope he has and all of sudden he turns into a good QB.

HAHA! the background music is classic. Kwame is awful. How the hell did Nolan not take him out??
I almost forgot how awful Kwame was. The dude was a revolving door at tackle. I could only imagine how bad it would have been under Martz last year if we had held onto him
alexcuses.
I really think that if it weren't for Kwame Alex's 06 stats would be a lot better. TDs were called back and unnecessary fumbles were caused by Kwame playing like Kwame.

Even if you don't believe you that, you still got to feel bad for Alex, taking the kind of beating he took.
How did dumbaxx Nolan keep letting him play?
Does anyone know how many holdings and false starts he had?
What makes me confident about next season is that play like that will not be tolerated. Examples, JTO being benched, VD being thrown out, and doing away with Roman. If someone is not meeting a standard mgmt will try to find a solution. Unlike Nolan who would maintain staus quo no matter the cost for one of his "Nolan Guys."
