He couldntve picked it up at the base. He checked in and was put on NFI list immediately after his physical. But it begs the question..why would they say its a stomach illness? Teams dont like the word "Staph-infection" to get out as weve seen with Josh Morgan last year and his pseudo-hush hush nature of his illness. Why would they hide it if its not thier fault? Someone with more insight cann help me out with this one.

Only reason I can think the team would hide this is if he got the infection from the Niners facility somehow like Morgan. It makes the team look bad and the team's doctor's/facilites appear to be unclean if happened on site. that's why Kellen Winslow was upset wiht cleveland when they said he had another injury when it was really a staph infection. And I think one other Browns player had one also. Just shows that something is off with the medical staff. way off.

Barrows just said hegot it from Miami. I mean its reasonable to assume that. Soon as he checked in for his physical he was put on the NFI list. I wouldve thought it was easy to diagnose and come out and say "hes got Staph from workin outside away from teh facility"

They really need to steam clean that turf. I was at their practice today and something smelled funny. Almost a hint of dog crap smell mixed with the fresh grass smell but no dogs any where.

I hate it when people are too lazy to figure out RJF=Rickey Jean Francis, who just so happens to be one of the more posted about players since April when he was drafted.

I'd rather people put his name down as RJF than seeing his name spelled incorrectly 500 different ways.
For the record, everyone, it is Ricky (no "e") Jean (not John, but the same sound) Francois (with an "o" included, and pronunciated- Fran-swah).
Cheers.
P.S. Jean-Francois in French means "damn lucky that Ray McDonald is on the PUP list".

You say that but I don't see you spelling out his name.

What's the matter, you don't know the names of the players on the team you root for?

Damn, Damn, Damn, I really think the kid can make this team and be an impact player. Saw him play a lot at LSU and when he is motivated and has his head screwed on straight he is on stoppable.
Hope this Staph infection does not keep him out of camp to long.
