Looks like he could be the odd man out.
But hes definitely a singletary kind of guy and is the best blocking WR on the team. Would they really cut a proven vet for someone like ziegler?
Also hes a good punt returner and played qb at notre dame

He's one of the most consistent guys on the team. He's a proven vet on third downs especially

I say we keep him and cut Rossum. Some would disagree, but MOST should agree. Battle adds more value, hes younger, can KR/PR and play solid at Wide out. he might not be as fast or explosive as Rossum, but he has the vision to take some to the house and the heart of a niner.. maybe we cut Ziegler instead or Battle or Rossum or trade one of either Battle or Ziegler..
1. Morgan
2. Bruce
3. Jones
4. Hill
5. Battle
Crabtree- I would love to put him at either 1-3 but it looks very unlikey with the depth and the hold out. I dont know where to put Crabs at this point, but I say we HAVE to get a deal done FAST and he has to be anywhere between 3 or 4 and start by seasons end.
Ziegler- I dont know what to think or put him at this point either.. He showed some promise and made a few nice plays during the tail end of last season, but does that guarntee a spot?? maybe speed, height, youth and promise doesnt make the cut with this HIGHLY TALENTED core group of receivers..
IDEALLY IMHO I would love to see..
1. Crabtree
2. Morgan
3. Bruce
4. Hill
5. Jones
6. Battle
7. Ziegler
Cut Rossum and try either Battle or possibly Jones or Ziegler at KR/PR. Keep 7 WR and part ways with Bruce after the season so we keep the 6 for next season!

Cut zeigler and keep
Crabs.................if and when lol
bruce
Morgan
Hill
battle
Jones
everyone else gtfo. Damn we are slammed at reciever. This is badass. I hope Hill gets more playing time though. I really really think he is waiting for a big breakout.

If hes back to 100%, he could really surprise. it will be tough for guys like crabtree, jones, and ziegler to come in and surpass him in a fair competition.

i'd rather have us cut battle and ziegler leaving us with 5 WRs....
In no particular order of depth:
Crabs
Morgan
Bruce
Hill
Jones

What the hell have you seen out of Arnaz Battle as a returner that would ever lead you to believe he could return kicks or punts for TD's?
Dude is a good possession receiver and a good blocker. He is an average return man... no better than Mo Hicks was at returning kicks.

He brings a lot to the table; it'll be very hard to cut him.
