Its not only odd that it hasn't been proved...its also odd that it hasn't been DISproved.

A sight like Profootballtalk would have debunked this quickly if it were obviously untrue.

But thats only going to happen if they had even seen it. There's no other report of anything other than a ticker on NFLN.

um, for what exactly?
I did a little digging and this is what i found fellas it was Coffee not Crabtree;

Examiner.com

49ers sign RB Glen Coffee to 4-year deal. 2 hrs 50 mins ago ... signed running back Glen Coffee, their third-round draft pick, to a four-year contract

Think it was coffee not crabtree.

True...but its pretty likely that they know NFLN is reporting it. Its kinda what they do. ;-)

Nothing from adam schefter, he would be the first to report this deal.
False alarm, for sure.

Was going through the collective bargaining agreement, and nothing prohibits a player from signing for four years. The max length a rookie can sign from draftees 1-16 is six years, from draftees 17-32, five years, and everyone else a max four years.

It would be extremely unlikely that a top ten pick would sign for less than five years. It wouldn't make sense at all.

In the meantime, without a link, this thread should be locked.
